Spatter for orchestra was originally conceived as a piece for piano, drumset, and fixed media. Since, the materials have been reorganized for orchestra, creating a new realization. Though certain fundamental structural elements have remained the same, what was previously the fixed media has in some cases been transcribed, rethought, or eliminated entirely. What remains is the beginning of a new thread - woven into a new fabric, Spatter.
